River Games
Egyptians loved playing in water, which is not surprising since they had the great river Nile and a very warm climate. A game on the river - which might have been an exhibition contest or a race - consisted of light reed boats being punted in the same direction, while two or three men in each boat - each armed with poles - tried to push their opponents into the water! After they had successfully knocked all the men off a boat, they would either board it, or tip it over.
::Azia and her brother desided that they would spend some time at the river this day. They left the worries of Egypts millitary stance behind and Azia's marriage proposal at the gate when they arrived here with their boats. Here with a few firends, Azia nad her brother rowed along the river in a wild race in which they attempted to knock eachother off the boat all the while. They played for hours until Azia's team succedded in knocking everyone off and won. Then they went to the bank, all soaked in the water from the loosers splashing the others, and rested.::
